The Heritage Center also includes The Gem and Mineral Museum, displaying the personal collections of Fallbrook’s Parke McLean and Bud Francis, who were long-time collectors from the 1930’s through the 1950’s.
These well catalogued displays include beautiful samples collected locally, across San Diego County and around the world.
Included in this exhibit are geodes, minerals, De Luz and Fallbrook crystals, quartz, Brazilian agates, petrified wood samples and amazing “Thunder Eggs”.
This exhibit is a must-see for all “rock-hounds”, or anyone with an appreciation for the natural beauty and geology of gems and minerals.
