Philip G. Arnold Attorney at Law
Phil Arnold has practiced Law in San Diego county since 1980. For over 20 years he has maintained his private practice in Fallbrook, emphasizing family law and estate planning .
Immediately prior to starting his private law practice, Mr. Arnold served as a Marine Corps Judge Advocate. Phil enlisted in the Corps as a private during the Vietnam conflict.
Phil’s many Marine Corps assignments included prosecuting trial attorney, deputy Staff Judge Advocate, Company Commander and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of California. A Marine for 31 years, his last active duty assignment was as head of the largest legal assistance office in the Corps. He currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Marine Corps Reserve.
Mr. Arnold received his undergraduate degree at UCLA and a Juris doctorate in Law from Western State University College of Law. He is admitted to the practice of law in federal, state and military courts.
Philip is primarily a Civil War historian, he has a particular interest in the proper marking, maintenance and preservation of the burial sites of all American veterans, with emphasis on Civil War veterans and all Medal of Honor recipients. As an active member of the Medal of Honor Historical Society, Mr. Arnold has also conducted numerous ceremonies to properly mark the graves of recipients of our nations’s highest military award for combat heroism
Mr. Arnold is active in his local community. He served on the Board of Trustees for the Fallbrook Union High School District for eight years, during which he twice served as President of Board. Philip is also a member of the Fallbrook Village Rotary Club and has previously served on the Board of Directors of the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce, Fallbrook People to People Services and the Board of Deacons of his church. Phil and his wife, Jan, have been married since 1973 and have four adult children and four grandchildren.
